Putin, Erdogan see gas as top priority cooperation sphere
MOSCOW, Jan 16 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed cooperation between the two states in a phone conversation on Monday, mentioning gas cooperation and the construction of a gas hub in Turkey among the top priorities, the Kremlin said in a statement.
“Both sides have confirmed their intention for further development of comprehensive Russian–Turkish cooperation. Ties in the energy sphere including gas deliveries and the creation of a regional gas hub in Turkey are among the priorities,” the statement read.
The presidents also discussed the implementation of the grain deal between Russia and the West.
